This postcard is a reproduction of a photo of Revolution Avenue and Second Street in Tijuana, Mexico. It is in excellent condition; no stains, tears, or bends on the front. There are a few stains on the back, pen marks, and a small crease which looks like occurred during stamp cancelling. It is stamped with a 10 cts. stamp which reads "Correos Mexico". It is dated August 17, 1953 by the sender. It is marked on the front "Revolution Avenue and Second Street, Tijuana, Baja Calif., Mexico". It is marked on the back "Natural Color Reproduction, Hester & Smith, Inc., San Diego, California, 165 Publicada for Enrique Martinez, Tijuana, Baja Calif., Mexico".
This is a postcard of the Brooklyn Navy Young Men's Christian Association in Brooklyn, New York. It is the headquarters for Sailors, Marines, and Coast- Guardsmen. The building was a gift of Miss Helen Miller Gould (Mrs. Finley J. Shepard) and Mrs. Russell Sage to the men of the Navy. It was established in 1899. The card is in good condition; has some stains and the upper right-hand corner has a bend. It is postmarked January 16, 1942 and stamped with a 1 cent "Industry, Agriculture for Defense" stamp. It is marked on the front "Brooklyn Navy Y.M.C.A., 167 Sands Street, Brooklyn, New York". It is marked on the back "C. T. Art Colortone, Reg. U.S.Pat.Off. Made only by Curt Teich and Co., Inc.,Chicago".
A post card of the Purple Dawn a variety of the Camellia Japonica. It is very popular in the deep South. It is postmarked Apr. 28, 1961 and is stamped with a 3 cent Liberty stamp. Art Colortone" Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)". It has a two cent, John Adams stamp.
